Many people still know of TikTok as the app kids use for dance videos and goofy trends, but these things change fast and it’s not the same app it was even a year ago.
TikTok today shows all the same signs as every other game-changing social media platform before it, but there are a few things that really set it apart:
- TikTok has over 1 billion daily active users as of early 2022.
- TikTok has been downloaded more than 3 billion times.
-TikTok is consistently the #1 most downloaded App in the U.S. every day.
- Despite being one of the youngest social media platforms, it’s already the 6th most used platform in the world that is quickly becoming mass adopted.
- Over 500 million TikTok users are over the age of 30, with more downloading the app each day as the user base rapidly ages up.
And what I think is perhaps the most exciting this about this all….
- People spend at least 3x longer on TikTok than on any other social media platform on average.
Which means not only do you stand a chance to reach a larger audience than ever, but they will spend 3x times the amount of time on your content than if they found it on any other platform.
When you put it together, all signs point to the same thing:
The next 6-12 months is a perfect storm for content creators who want to build large loyal followings fast on the world’s fastest growing social media network.
